BIMMG (Black Ink Management and Music Group LLC) is a full-service management firm, independent record label and distribution outlet based in the Queen City – Charlotte, North Carolina. Our products are distributed through Bungalo Records/Universal Music Group. Our clientele includes independent labels seeking distribution or promotion, and both signed and unsigned artists of all genres.
Ron Hatchett founded BIMMG with the goal of offering an outlet to upcoming artists and record labels. Although smaller, BIMMG shares the same amenities as its larger counterparts, however operates in a more modern, nontraditional manner. Black Ink’s staff understands the commitment and sacrifice involved with being an artist in today’s industry. This understanding is reflected in not only the way we do business, but also in how we take great care of our clientele.
Our Mission
No matter what color, ink solidifies man’s word. It records, and changes history. It has been used to create pictures, blueprints, bibles, billboards and books. Ink is a tiny word, only three letters, but it has played such a huge role on the stage of world history. In its earliest form, ink was used to draw and paint on the walls of caves, a lasting legacy of prehistoric man. However, its greatest use is to spread knowledge. Long before Johann Gutenberg invented the printing press, ink was the medium used to preserve the archives and historic records that tell us much about our past. Ink has recorded lives and revolutionized lives, and will continue to do so for ages to come.
BIMMG exemplifies ink in its most formal form. Not only in our name but also in our mission. BIMMG has set out to stand the test of time, spread knowledge through our presence and impact history.
